Join the Lafayette Square Conservancy

The Lafayette Square Conservancy (LSC) is an all-volunteer, non-profit group dedicated to the preservation and improvement of Downtown New Orleans’ premier park in partnership with the City’s Department of Parks and Parkways. We strive for a well-used and well-maintained public park which serves as an urban oasis for visitors, residents and area workers.

Dedicated to Revitalizing, Maintaining and Improving Lafayette Square

Lafayette Square was founded in 1788 and is the second oldest park in New Orleans. The Square hosts the YLC Wednesday at the Square concert series, festivals, movie productions and more.

LSC Supporters

We ask for your support for the park. Along with the great team from the Parks and Parkways Department, we have a big job keeping the Square safe, beautiful and clean. From seasonal color plantings to aeration and fertilization, the park requires constant care and attention. Please consider making a donation. We will gladly acknowledge gifts made in honor of friends and family. Thank you!
