Joining the Lafayette Square Conservancy is Easy!
You can be a part of the LSC as we continue our efforts to preserve and improve Lafayette Square. There are various ways to participate.
Subscribe to our newsletter and we'll remind you of upcoming concerts and planting days. We do not share email addresses.
The LSC has been able to achieve remarkable improvements to Lafayette Square thanks to the generosity of people like you. With no paid staff, only a minimal amount of our funds are used for administrative purposes. You can be assured that your donation will be directed to where it is needed most: sprinkler repairs; buying mulch, fertilizer, trash bags, etc.; additional plantings; aerating the new turf and providing specialized lawn care; among other regular maintenance needs. As far as bigger projects for the Square, our goals for 2012 include repairing broken granite paving and hazardous sidewalks as well as renovating the linear planting strips along N. and S. Maestri Streets. Donations are most appreciated!

BUY OUR LOGO GEAR
Show your support by purchasing and wearing our LSC logo gear. We have tee shirts, aprons and bags for sale. Look for our tent in the Artists' Village at the Wednesday Concerts. And coming soon, we will be offering these items for purchase on-line. You can also buy tickets for our fundraising raffle at our tent or on-line here .
The LSC has opportunities for volunteers in a variety of capacities.
Planting & Cleaning The Conservancy hosts clean up and planting days every two months or so to take care of planting, pruning, weeding, raking, mulching and other beautification. We provide water, snacks and tools, just bring your gloves! The LSC will happily verify participation of students looking for public service hours. If you are interested in receiving notification of cleaning days, please let us know by sending an email to us.
Our upcoming planting/cleanup days are:
November 7th from 9:00 to noon
Adopt-a-Bed The LSC is looking for groups or individuals to adopt the flower beds around John McDonough, Ben Franklin and Henry Clay and the four corner flower beds. Clean, weed free beds are beautiful.
Litter Pick-Up Nothing detracts from the beauty of Lafayette Square more than litter and trash. Bring your gloves and a trash bag and do a "litter walk" around the Square. It really makes a difference!
Special Event Assistance The Conservancy periodically needs assistance at events in the Square such as help staffing our Artists' Village Tent during the Spring and Fall Wednesday Concerts Series.
To volunteer for any of these, please contact us. And thanks in advance!
