The Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival
, presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, is New Orleans' premier showcase of Southern blues and soul - with two stages of music, mouth-watering barbecue and a crafts fair featuring hand-made works by artisans from throughout the region. This year marks the 12th edition of the festival and the musical lineup is unbelievable! The festival starts Friday at 5pm and runs through Sunday night (October 13-15). Admission is free.

Booking the Park
The City of New Orleans issues permits for the use of Lafayette Square. All event requests that involve permits issued from the City begin at the One Stop Shop, 7th floor, City Hall. Information and applications are available at www.nola.gov/onestop/events/.  All you need to do to get started is download and fill out the application, then visit the One Stop Shop. If you have specific questions about what you’ll need for your event, please contact specialevents@nola.gov.
